Questions, answered.
Does it prove that the complete file was downloaded?
No. It records a validated request immediately before redirecting the browser to the file. That is the reliable measurement available without serving the entire file through PHP.
Does it identify individual visitors?
No. Download statistics are aggregated. No IP address, cookie, visitor identifier or user-agent string is stored.
Does the email form block the download?
No. The file starts downloading immediately. When enabled, the optional form appears afterwards.
What happens to the data when I uninstall it?
Data is preserved by default so a temporary uninstall does not destroy your history. You can choose to remove all plugin data during uninstall.
